'M Countdown' Accidentally Releases Photo of MONSTA X Shownu Holding E-Cigarette

Amid MONSTA X's military service era, the remaining members have been promoting in various ways, such as Shownu X Hyungwon debuting as a sub-unit.

The first unit of the team in eight years since their launch released their debut album, "THE UNSEEN," on July 25.

Since then, the duo has been promoting their title track, "Love Me A Little," in various music shows and events.

On July 27, the duo performed in Mnet's "M Countdown" and delivered impressive stage - from the background, visuals, skills, and charisma.

Following the performance, the music show took to Twitter to share photos of Shownu and Hyungwon taken for the official account.

In the photos, fans, especially MONBEBEs, gushed over the duo's stunning visuals in their black 'fits. The two cutely posed alike, flashing a peace sign, and showing their beautiful smiles at the camera.

However, shortly after posting the photos, M Countdown deleted the original post before reposting it later on. Confused fans started discussing it, letting it pass as a mistake on the account's social media holder. 

It was until a K-netizen took to a popular forum another photo showing Shownu holding an item that seems to resemble an e-cigarette!

Apparently, "M Countdown" decided to delete the original post after failing to see that Shownu was holding a vape!

MONBEBEs Loving MONSTA X Shownu's 'IDGAF' Energy for Bringing Vape in Music Show

Initially, MONBEBEs tried to shield him and claimed that the photo was edited, showing the current post from the broadcast.

However, after knowing that it was real, a majority from the fan base found it hilarious that Shownu was "too natural" holding it — even the one who took the photo and the uploader didn't think something was going on.

Fans were also impressed by Shownu's "IDGAF" (I don't give a fxxx") energy, showing up with an e-cigarette again in an official schedule, after initially being criticized in 2019 for bringing a vape during an interview at the "V Live Awards V Heartbeat."

At the time, the "Love Therapy" singer was criticized for being a "bad" influence to their younger fans, and raised brows for taking a vape while at an official event.

But the recent situation takes a 360° turn as more people found the incident hilarious. They cheered on the male idol, and after all, he's a grown man who can do whatever he wants.
