On August 1, the Korean media outlet Xports News discussed the position of SHINee Taemin in the music industry as a "model idol."

As a brief background, Taemin debuted in 2008 as the main dancer of the "Prince of K-pop" SHINee. At the time, he caused a sensation in the K-pop scene as the "youngest male idol" to be launched by SM Entertainment at the age of 14.

Despite his young age, Taemin worked really hard and every blood, sweat, and tear he invested truly paid off as his voice is a significant factor now to complete SHINee's excellent vocal color.

With his youthful and flower-boy-next-door appearance, Taemin captivated numerous older sisters' hearts and with his presence and undying passion to perform. He later on, captured the attention of younger fans as well.

In 2014, Taemin made history as one of the first K-pop idols from an active group to debut as a soloist with his first EP, "Ace." As a soloist, he made revolutionary movements in the K-pop scene such as breaking gender stereotypes, supporting gender fluidity, and promoting K-pop as an art, rather than emphasizing rankings in a music chart.

15 years later, Taemin continues to grow as a complete all-rounder who's known for his visual, unique dance skills and vocal skills. Taemin proved that an artist isn't just born but created through unrelenting passion and endless effort.

Xports new wrote:

"Taemin's growth, which caused a sensation in the music industry at the same time as his debut as "SM Entertainment's youngest male artist," is ideal enough to be called the most standard and most exemplary in the idol world so far."

With his success and achievements, SHINee's Taemin boasts the moniker, "Idol of Idols," which means that he is considered the most popular role model among active and younger idols.

As a role model, Taemin isn't only acknowledged because of his outstanding skills and achievements, but on top of these, he was well-respected for the great care and effort he's giving to every craft and work he made, and how he was able to remain grounded regardless of making it on top.
