On Instagram, Block B U-Kwon showed utter surprise when he was suddenly summoned by an internet user into Joshua's romantic relationship rumor.
On August 12, the 2nd-gen male idol drew attention when he captured a tweet on Twitter (hereinafter X) and posted it on his Instagram story with the text, "What?"

In particular, U-Kwon expressed his displeasure when his past relationship was mentioned in line with Joshua's recent rumor, comparing the two cases with malicious intent.
In the captured tweet, the OP talked about Joshua who was accused of doing "fan deception" after a dating rumor and referred to the case of his senior star.
In response to an article saying, "Joshua deceived SEVENTEEN fans, CARATs," the netter criticized U-Kwon, saying:
"For real, what kind of deception is this that you guys are going crazy? 'Deception' refers to what Block B U-Kwon did."

The fan defended the SEVENTEEN member.
"What can you do if his daily life is being shown because he's in a relationship? Each time, these fans would spend money on idols on their own accord, then they would show power abuse because they spend money every time they like, turn their backs and demand, 'Give me my rights because I spent money.'"
To convey how "absurd" the post was, U-Kwon uploaded the article without covering the netizen's Twitter username.

U-Kwon began an open relationship with model Jeon Seon Hye in 2012, and showed his affection proudly.
This was deemed as an unconventional move of him as an idol, as it is a taboo item to date publicly, much alone showing your love to just one person while his whole fandom is watching.
Then, the former couple is still seen cheering for each other as colleagues even after announcing their breakup last year after a 10-year relationship.
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN Joshua has recently been embroiled in rumors of a romantic relationship with a freelance model.
Fans then raised various circumstances where Joshua was seen wearing "couple items" and doing "lovestagram" not to mention the suspicions of the rumored girlfriend's attendance at the concert.
Some CARATs claimed that Joshua had been a "fan cheater" for three years.
Currently, some domestic and foreign fans are also protesting by even sending trucks to the office building and boycotting his idol goods.
The situation is getting more serious, with some fans claiming that Joshua's behavior is deceiving fans and demanding that he leaves the group just because he's allegedly dating.
Despite fans' requests for clarification, Joshua's agency, Pledis Entertainment, has not released any position on the matter.
In response to the intensified reaction, there are also voices that the agency should protect Joshua from criticism, mainly from overseas fandoms.
