Choi So Jung, or simply known as Exy, is the leader, sub vocalist, and main rapper of Starship Entertainment's South Korean-Chinese female girl group WJSN (also popular as Cosmic Girls).

Exy was born on November 6, 1995, in Busan, South Korea. Prior to her involvement with WJSN, Exy auditioned at JYP Entertainment in 2008, but unfortunately didn't pass the trial.

In the year 2012, Exy became a part of VIVA Girls, which was composed of her fellow bandmate SeolA, alongside Kyungri of 9MUSES, Hyoyein of Stellar, Lime of Hello Venus, Woohee of Dalshabet, and Soyumi of Kiss&Cry. However, financial issues led to the group's cancellation.

Regarding Exy's educational background, she went to SOPA or School of Performing Arts Seoul, and eventually graduated in 2013. This also led Exy to pursue her career as an artist by joining "Unpretty Rapstar 2" in 2015, but was eliminated in the eighth episode.

Exy made her big break on December 21, 2015, when she successfully joined WJSN, who officially debuted on February 25, 2016. Exy's involvement with WJSN didn't just solidify her status as the group's main rapper, but also highlighted her as one of K-pop's best.

WJSN, which is an acronym for "Wu Ju So Nyeo," instantly became a household name in Korea. They became a 3rd-gen representative due to their best hits "Secret," "Boogie Up," "MoMoMo," "Save Me, Save You," "As You Wish," "Done," and many more.

Exy also became a member of two sub-units under WJSN, with Sweet Unit in 2016 and their newest act WJSN THE BLACK in 2021.

On March 3, Starship Entertainment released an official statement regarding WJSN's contract renewals. According to their statement, it was revealed that WJSN's Chinese members Xuan Yi, Cheng Xiao, and Mei Qi have left the group after their contracts have expired.

Meanwhile, Exy, alongside with SeolA, Bona, Eunseo, Dayoung, Yeoreum, and Soobin have all renewed their contracts under Starship. In another note, Luda and Dawon didn't renew their contracts, but it was not clear if the two have left the group.
