The photo garnered the attention of Neverlands and netizens.

On August 19, an author made an online forum titled "(G)I-DLE Soyeon & 'Single Inferno' star Moon Se Hoon Dating at the Department Store."

The original poster remarked that the photo had been taken earlier in June 27, showing the (G)I-DLE leader and Moon Se Hoon together at a department store.

They also mentioned Soyeon's blooming personality, to which they claim as obvious because of her social media posts and vibe. Others didn't mind if Soyeon was confirmed to be dating since they're more focused on her abilities as a music producer.

However, in a separate discussion, netizens voiced out their disappointment with Moon Se Hoon. They expressed how they didn't like Moon Se Hoon in "Single's Inferno" because of his unsettling demeanor towards actress Shin Jiyeon during the dating reality show.

In 2022, Moon Se Hoon drew massive flak from netizens for "obsessing" over Jiyeon. This was later clarified by the actor, who called out the show's "evil editing." They commented:
