Nancy in 2011 to 2021: 'Korea's Got Talent,' 'Finding MOMOLAND,' Idol & Acting Debut
Nancy Jewel McDonie (Lee Geu Ro), also known as Nancy, first made her name known in the entertainment scene after she joined "Korea's Got Talent' in 2011.
At the time, she received love as one of the members of the hip-hop group, Cutie Pies. Unfortunately, they failed to advance to the finals.

Although she appeared in various TV shows after that, Nancy became widely known after officially debuting as a member of the girl group MOMOLAND. She ranked No. 1 in the survival show, " Finding MOMOLAND" and established strong & stable fandom alone.
Since then, her popularity has been unstoppable. Her team created multiple hits including, "BBoom BBoom," "BAAM," "I'm So Hot" and more. Nancy also rose as one of the most beautiful female idols in the K-pop industry, attested by the TC Candler and other idols.
The "Wrap Me in Plastic" also dominated as a CF model and ambassador for many brands, in and out of the country.
In 2019, Nancy also announced her acting debut in the Philippines through the series, "The Soulmate Project." Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, the production was pushed back to 2021 until it was totally canceled.
Where Is Ex-MOMOLAND Nancy in 2023? Idol's Appearance in Musical, Rising Fame in Hong Kong
In 2023, MOMOLAND left MLD Entertainment and announced disbandment. Since then, she found her new nest and signed with Aria Group under Aria Diamond to continue her singing and acting career.
On August 25, Nancy hinted at her aspiration to enter the theater world after it was announced that she would be joining the creative musical, "The Show! ShillaHada."
Based on Silla culture, the musical depicts the story of Cheoyoung (to be played by Block B U-Kwon and MYNAME Seyong). He is a leader of the Korean dance team for the 2023 world competition who will undergo time travel while having a feud with his team members. He will learn the essence of "harmony" while unifying Silla.
Meanwhile, Nancy will join the musical as Lee Chae Rin of the present time who will also play the role of Princess Seungman in the Silla period.
The cast will perform 42 times from October 19 to December 6, as part of Gyeongbuk Culture and Tourism Organization's 2023 Shilla Culture-based Creative Musical Production and Performance Organization.
Aside from this, Nancy is also cementing her presence in Hong Kong by gracing various magazines August-September Issue including ELLE Hong Kong, Milk X Magazine and Madame Figaro Hong Kong. She is actively promoting as a representative of Chow Tai Fook Jewelry HUÁ collection, a Hong Kong-based brand.
