On social media, most netizens weren't surprised with Seunghan's photos, as they considered dating normal even for K-pop trainees and pre-debut idols. However, others were shocked on the leaks and expressed their dismay at Seunghan.

On August 29, an SM Entertainment source officially announced that Seunghan will be unable to participate for RIIZE's pre-recording for "NPOP," Naver's brand new music show. According to their statement, Seunghan's absence was due to poor health.
"Seunghan will be absent (in the pre-recording for 'NPOP') because of his body aches, causing his poor health conditions," the source stated.

Following this, on the same day (August 29), a forum was made online, which contained netizens who discussed Seunghan's future with the group. The original author also titled the post, "Reasons Why RIIZE Seunghan Will Withdraw."
The author claimed that there were much more to be exposed regarding Seunghan, and that SM Entertainment is currently "restraining" the situation. It stated:
"I feel like there's more to be exposed (with Seunghan), so they (SM Entertainment) are restraining him, and I think it's possible that he'll get kicked out from the group."
