Lee Suji Breaks Marriage News in Heartfelt Letter, Shares Anecdote With Fiancé

On September 5, Lee Suji, also known as Halla, surprised K-pop enthusiasts and her fans as she shared a handwritten letter reporting the news of her marriage, personally.

In the lengthy message, "The Light" singer announced her "precious dream" wedding in October.

"I have met a person who loves me without changing and we will get married in October this year."

She continued talking about her non-celebrity fiancé, describing him as someone who resembles her father.

"Ever since I was young, I have always wanted to meet someone like my dad. The groom-to-be is a person who truly resembles my father's kindness, delicate, and warm heart."

Regarding the reason she decided to spend the rest of her life with him, Suji sincerely expressed love for him, continuing:

"As someone who has poor skills at expressing herself, this man taught me how to express love and showed me a loyal and humble love first. He taught me to be happy about even the smallest things and turned my life into a 'romantic comedy-like' movie day by day, for someone who really loves movies. Although both are imperfect, we have decided to make up for each other's weaknesses."

Lastly, she conveyed her gratitude, approval and support from her fans, who have been with her since she debuted as an idol until she became a full-fledged actress.

"Thank you for always supporting and cheering me on every single moment of my life not only as a singer or actress but as Lee Suji, the person that I am.

I can't wait to become part of my own family in the future. In addition to this, I'm delighted to know that the power of love is greater than anything else.
