RIIZE's Debut Single 'Get A Guitar' Earns 'Million-Seller' Status at Lightning Speed

The boy group is setting a new record for fourth-gen K-pop groups!

SM Entertainment's newest boy group RIIZE has been consistently breaking their records across music charts with their debut single album "Get A Guitar, which was released on September 4, along with pre-release track "Memories."

From September 4 to 10, Hanteo Chart officially listed out the best-performing albums on the graph. The chart revealed that RIIZE's "Get A Guitar" has successfully sold a total of 1,016,849 album copies during the first week of its publication.

This achievement is a first for RIIZE and has led them to become the first non-survival show boy group to attain the feat. In Hanteo's history alone, they are also the first to exceed 1 million sales in the first week with a debut album.

This record was achieved by project boy group, ZEROBASEONE, who was formed from Mnet's popular survival program "Boys Planet."

With RIIZE being under SM Entertainment, one of the "Big 4" K-pop agencies, the group also managed to get attention ahead of their debut. Earlier on September 4, JTBC reported that RIIZE had reached 1,032,144 million stock pre-orders for "Get A Guitar."

A pre-order figure is determined by how many albums fans have demanded before its scheduled release. With such high count for a rookie boy group, this result only emphasizes RIIZE's impact with domestic and international fans.

RIIZE also made it on domestic charts on August 21, when the group released their pre-release single "Memories." After the music video was dropped, "Memories" charted immediately on MelOn's Hot 100 chart at the No. 40 spot.

RIIZE Wants You to 'Get A Guitar' in Groovy Music Video

RIIZE released the official music video for "Get A Guitar" on September 4, exciting many BRIIZEs online. The MV offered a groovy take in terms of musicality and featured the group's exhilarating performance.

As of September 11, the music video currently garners 23,334,524 views on YouTube.
