On September 16 to 17, the "biggest girl group in the world" BLACKPINK wrapped up their second world tour, "BORN PINK," with their Seoul encore concert held at Gocheok Sky Dome.

Of course, among the members who created a buzz was Jennie, who once again showed off her fashion icon side by bringing her outfit for her "SOLO" stage to a different level.

During her performance, Jennie attracted hot discussion after dancing alone on a wide stage during the song's bridge, shying away from the usual choreography where she performed with other backup dancers.

She left viewers with goosebumps when she appeared with a black veil, then sang and danced with her face covered.

Soon after, she took off the veil and proceeded to perform a duet dance of her unreleased song, "You and Me," with a male dancer, leaving a dreamy atmosphere.

When her videos and photos were shared online, fans and netizens were quick to give various opinions about the iconic accessory.

Ultimately, fans stated that it might have been a simple fashion choice. In fact, Jennie wore an ensemble from the Zuhair Murad Couture FW23, and she wore it exactly like the model and veil.

But since a veil has a symbolic meaning, specifically a black veil, fans speculated why Jennie, known to incorporate fashion with music, decided to wear it.

Some of the realistic speculations from fans said that Jennie might be implying a positive future in the sense of wearing and taking off the veil during the transition from "SOLO" to "You and Me."

Another interpretation of this was, that Jennie wore a black veil, which is a symbolic accessory for a funeral, to signify the "death" of her previous song, "SOLO," and hinted at the birth of her upcoming solo album.

Also, while the whole performance was iconic, some fans felt that the black veil worried them due to its ominous vibe.

Is Jennie Hinting At BLACKPINK's Future With Her Black Veil?

In particular, fans' speculation is intensifying as no confirmation has been made at a time when BLACKPINK has completed its seven-year contract and is about to renew it.

As of the moment, BLACKPINK's agency, YG Entertainment, has not made a final announcement on whether the four members will renew their contracts.

YG's most recent statement only said:

"The re-contract and future activity plans have not been finalized and are in discussion."

There are also opinions that the group's second world tour will be a huge determining factor to know if BLACKPINK will stay as a group.

In particular, through this tour, "BORN PINK," BLACKPINK visited a total of 34 cities and sold out in 66 performances. During this period, BLACKPINK set a record as a K-pop legend girl group, attracting 1.8 million viewers worldwide.
