EXO Chen Wraps Up First Solo Tour in Japan 'Polaris'

Earlier, EXO Chen successfully wrapped up his first solo tour in Japan, "Polaris," which was held eight times in five Japanese cities including Yokohama, Osaka, Okayama, and Kitakyushu, starting in Nagoya on August 19.

During the month-long tour, Chen unveiled the full-length stage of his first Japanese solo album, "Polaris" for the first time. The idol was well-received by Japanese EXO-Ls for his honey vocals combined with the band's live session.

During the tour, the male idol presented an impressive setlist that comprised a total of 20 songs in various genres, ranging from his Korean solo album hits such as, "Beautiful Goodbye," "Shall We?" and "Best Luck."

EXO-Ls also prepared a surprise birthday party for the singer during his stage at Kitakyushu on the 17th, ahead of his actual special day on the 21st.

Following the tour, Chen then held his special birthday party and K-pop fans especially EXO-Ls who attended Chen's party took to online platforms to share what happened during the event. Indeed, netizens and music fans can't help but praise him for his top-notch vocals singing his hits.

People also found it cute when he catered to fans' requests to make various challenges and dance covers, such as him doing STAYC's "Poppy" as well as TikTok's "Snowman" challenge.

The song, popularized by Sia became a viral challenge for its 40-second long verse which needed to be sung in one breath. Indeed, Chen impressed fans with his vocals but failed the challenge multiple times during the performance.

But among the challenges that he faces, Chen proves his unrivaled status as a "Vocal King" after slaying the "Crazy" Riff Challenge, whether it be using his high or low registers!

Originally, the song challenged a singer to sing its first line with an incredible high riff, raising its note 6-step high. But this time, he was also asked to do the 6-step low note and it was marvelous!

A fan even combined the two videos where Chen was singing using his high and low register together, and the final result was undoubtedly a masterpiece!

When his videos were uploaded on TikTok, it took only a minute for Chen to become viral, once again reliving the popular challenge that arose two years ago in 2021.

Not only K-pop fans but even internet users were impressed by the singer, once again reminding them why he's considered an untouched "Vocal King" not only among third-gen vocalists but also in the music scene.
