BIGBANG G-Dragon Reportedly Booked on Illegal Drug Use, YG Commented on News

On October 25, the legal community and the police reported that the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency's drug crime investigation team booked BIGBANG G-Dragon without detention on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act.

This came to light following actor Lee Sun Kyun's case but the police clarified that the two cases were not related. In particular, the claim that G-Dragon took drugs happened during the search and seizure of female employees at entertainment establishments.

GD's Park Gestures, Remark Drew Attention Amid Idol's Illegal Drug Use Investigation

When the news reached the public and K-pop scene, fans and netizens were quick to revisit GD's past gestures and remark that might have hinted that he's been using drugs.

Looking at his recent videos, there was a time when the male icon showed abnormal behaviors at the airport, such as stumbling as soon as he got out of his car.

He was also seen twisting his body tirelessly and stretching while waiting for the signal in front of the crosswalk. When he entered the airport, his steps were unstable, and he was also showing signs of instability by moving his fingers continuously and repeatedly putting on and taking off his beanie hat.

In his past interview, GD also sparked skepticism after giving unrelated answers to questions and being unable to connect its context properly. Just saying one sentence took him so long to be able to say it.

In particular, this is not the first time that GD has been investigated for drug charges. 12 years ago in 2011 he was accused of smoking cannabis at a Japanese club, but the prosecution was, eventually suspended.

In 2012, G-Dragon expressed his thoughts about his controversy, saying.

"It was marijuana that I smoked after mistaking it for cigarettes. I received it from a stranger who attended our after-concert party."

He added:

"At the beginning, I didn't know where it went wrong because I never did it. But they said I had tested for cannabis. I was hurt when I saw comments such as, 'I knew it.' I was surprised that people were already expecting it. I was shocked more than felt unfair to see comments such as 'You're the axis of evil in BIGBANG.

I think there will be a bad look even after the broadcast. I will try to pay it back in the future because it's my fault."
