SEVENTEEN Scheduled to Appear in UNESCO Youth Forum in Paris, Becomes 1st K-pop Artist to Do So

SEVENTEEN will be the first-ever K-pop artist in history to engage in the event.

On October 27, PLEDIS Entertainment released a brief statement regarding SEVENTEEN, who will be making their appearance at the forthcoming UNESCO Youth Forum on November 14, in Paris, France. The agency shared:

"The 13th UNESCO Youth Forum will be attended by SEVENTEEN. It is set to take place at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, France, on November 14, at 7 p.m."

According to sources, SEVENTEEN will be give a speech during the session and deliver a special performance as well. In the forum, youth representatives from all over the world will provide insights and solutions to modern-day problems the younger generation is facing.

SEVENTEEN has proven their impact worldwide with their music and a representative for youth. With their appearance, the group plans to deliver a message regarding "solidarity and education," which can change both the future of the youth and the world.

SEVENTEEN S.Coups, Mingyu Deal with Health Concerns

In other news, two of SEVENTEEN's members have temporarily halted their activities with the group because of health issues. These members are S.Coups and Mingyu.

On October 19, PLEDIS Entertainment revealed that S.Coups would be unable to participate in the group's promotional schedules for 11th mini album "Seventeenth Heaven" to further recover from his knee injury, which he sustained on August 17 during a ball game.

"We are here to inform you that S.Coups suffered a tear in his left anterior cruciate ligament. Because of this, he went through anterior cruciate ligament and anterolateral ligament reconstruction surgery."

"Despite it's been two months since he went through treatment, the affected area is still vulnerable, and this requires immediate rehabilitation treatment. It was concluded that it would be best for him to avoid physically demanding activities, as advised by medical professionals."

On October 26, PLEDIS uploaded an announcement declaring Mingyu's temporary halt from his activities due to sudden lower back pain.

To prioritize his recovery, it was ruled out that Mingyu will be sitting out temporarily from his activities with SEVENTEEN.

"Mingyu suddenly experienced a crippling lower back pain that immediately needed medical attention. As per advice from medical professionals, he was recommended to rest and monitor his process in recovery."
