Following the termination of contracts with Aran, Sio and Saena, ATTRAKT announced that FIFTY FIFTY will re-organize as a team with Keena as the remaining original member.

FIFTY FIFTY Keena to Attend Billboard Music Awards Alone

On October 29, the first activity of FIFTY FIFTY was reported by ATTRAKT following the termination of contracts with Aran, Sio and Saena.

In particular, Keena, who returned to the agency after withdrawal of her appeal for an exclusive contract dispute, is the current and remaining member of the girl group.

Despite this, she is said to proceed to promote as a FIFTY FIFTY member and will also attend the 2023 Billboard Music Awards in the United States in November.

According to the label, Keena will participate in the awards ceremony alone, after being nominated for two categories.

Earlier on October 26, the Billboard Music Awards revealed on its official website that FIFTY FIFTY was nominated in the "Top Duo/Group" and "Top Global K-pop Song" categories for its multihit song, "Cupid."

This song is a huge success in that it took them only 15 months after its debut to succeed in charting on Billboard's main single chart "Hot 100" with the title track of "The Beginning: Cupid" album.

The quartet also made it to the latest chart of the British official chart, "Top 100," which is considered one of the world's two major music charts.

FIFTY FIFTY to Introduce New Members To Replace Aran, Sio, and Saena

Alongside the report that Keena will attend the Billboard Music Awards, ATTRAKT also gave an update on what will happen to FIFTY FIFTY moving forward.

Based on the company, new members will join FIFTY FIFTY along with Keena as the only original member.

"We will reorganize the group with Keena and introduce it to the public (soon)."

As the agency has just signed a collaboration with JTBC to launch a new girl group audition program in search of the junior of FIFTY FIFTY, attention is focused on the new members who will join will be current trainees of ATTRAKT or contestants from the show are candidates as well.

When the news spread among K-pop enthusiasts, fans and internet users expressed their views about it and the majority were against it.

• "Sorry, but it's not FIFTY FIFTY without Aran, Sio and Saena."
• "FIFTY FIFTY will never be the same."
• "Let's see if you can find another vocals as good as Aran."
• "They are insane."
• "She's going alone? Is there any ceremony for Billboard this year?"
• "This is just so messed up."

Meanwhile, FIFTY FIFTY, which used to be called the "Miracle of Small/Medium-sized companies" is now raising concern if they will really end up as a "one-hit wonder."

On the 23rd, ATTRAKT announced:

"As of October 19, we notified the cancellation of exclusive contracts for the remaining three members of the girl group FIFTY FIFTY (Aran, Sio and Saena), except for Keena."
