In the past years, Girls' Generation has been known for doing an unfollow spree on her Instagram until it was left with zero following in September.

However, on November 10th, fans and netizens were surprised to see that the female icon was following 1 account on IG and shockingly, it was singer-songwriter and rapper Dean.

As soon as this news reached K-pop fans' knowledge, speculations arose about the two's relationship, particularly asking if they are cooking another collaboration following working together in 2016.

In that year, the two top-tier artists released the song, "Starlight," the lead single of Taeyeon's second EP, "Why." Upon its release, it amassed rave reviews from both fans, SONEs and music critics, its success was also reflected on the local charts.

As a result, there are fans who were hoping that they could work once again for another release.

Netizens left comments such as:

Real Reason Dean Is Only Artist Followed by Girls' Generation Taeyeon

Unfortunately, the high anticipation for the artists' possible collaboration was replaced with laughter after fans and nettters pointed out the real reason Taeyeon is only following Dean.

Apparently, Dean was inactive on Instagram for a long time and amid reports that he will make a comeback, the singer-rapper activated his account again.

As Taeyeon was following him even before the unfollow spree, Dean still appeared on her list of followings after he returned.

Hilariously, thanks to Taeyeon, Dean's fans who were clueless he was finally back were just made aware due to the incident.

Both SONEs (SNSD fans) and Dean fans ended up just laughing at the hilarious happening and commented:

On the other hand, Dean, whose last release was still in 2019 after mysteriously vanishing in the music scene in the same year, is said to finally return this year!

The "Instagram" hitmaker is reportedly preparing for a new release after his style coordinator posted screenshots of computer folders labeled "DEAN" and "DEAN ALBUM COVER."

He was also seen posing together with a music director, sparking excitement.

On November 4, "Missing" posters with Dean's face were seen posted in the city of Seoul, with a contact number. When Korean fans try to dial it, music can be heard, which is expected to be a snippet of Dean's new song.
