K-pop girl group SECRET is officially returning to the music scene after nearly 12 years, marking a major comeback that has both excited and surprised longtime fans.

According to RBW on June 4, SECRET will promote as a three-member group featuring original members Jun Hyo Seong and Jung Ha Na, along with a newly added member.

The announcement confirms the group's first official activity since their 2014 mini album SECRET Summer. However, the reunion will not include the full original lineup. Former member Han Sun Hwa, who left in 2016 to focus on acting, will not be joining the comeback, AllKPop reported.

Song Ji Eun, widely known as the group's main vocalist, is also absent as she has been focusing on her married life.

The missing members have sparked strong reactions online, especially since Song Ji Eun played a key role in the group's vocal identity.

Some fans expressed disappointment, questioning the direction of the comeback. Comments included concerns about the lineup change and the addition of a new member instead of a full original reunion.

SECRET Reactivates Social Media

At the same time, other fans welcomed the group's return after such a long break, saying they were simply happy to see SECRET active again in any form. Some pointed out that K-pop groups often evolve over time and said they are curious about the new direction the trio will take.

SECRET originally debuted in 2009 and rose to popularity during the second generation of K-pop with hit songs like "Magic," "Madonna," and "Starlight Moonlight." The group built a strong fan base with their catchy sound and distinct performance style, making their return a notable moment in K-pop nostalgia.

According to KPopHit, before the official comeback news, SECRET also reactivated their social media accounts on June 3 across platforms like YouTube, X, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.

Their first upload featured Jun Hyo Seong and Jung Ha Na revisiting a salon they used during their early career days, even recreating their iconic "Shy Boy" era looks.
