Where is BTOB Changsub Now? Idol's Current Status After Leaving Cube Entertainment

2023 has been quite a year for BTOB, as the members left their longtime agency Cube Entertainment. While fans are eagerly anticipating the future endeavors of each BTOB member, some were surprised by the update regarding Changsub.

Lee Changsub, simply known as Changsub, made his debut with BTOB under Cube Entertainment on March 21, 2012, with their first-ever digital single "Insane."

Afterwards, BTOB members established themselves as one of the most well-known boy groups in the third generation due to their performances, charisma, and most of all, their golden vocals.

The group also made waves across the K-pop industry with hits such as "Thriller," "Beep Beep," "It's Okay," "Missing You," "The Song," "The Feeling," "Someday," and many more.

Aside from his group activities, Changsub's talent also led him to become a member of two of BTOB's sub-units. These units are BTOB-BLUE, who debuted on September 19, 2016, and BTOB 4U, who entered the music industry on November 16, 2020.

Changsub also made his solo debut on December 11, 2018, with his first mini album "Mark" and its title track "Gone."

On December 6, 2018, Cube Entertainment officially announced that Changsub would be enlisting in the military on January 14, 2019. According to their announcement, Changsub's enlistment will be held privately.

"Changsub would now be enlisting in the military on January 14. We also decided that Changsub's enlistment will be held quietly, thus, we will not disclose the details of his enlistment location and time."

On November 6, Cube Entertainment released a statement announcing the expiration of BTOB's exclusive contracts. According to their post, all six members of BTOB have decided not to renew their contracts, concluding their 11-year journey with the agency.

Where is Changsub Now? Here's What We Know

After leaving Cube Entertainment, Changsub set out to find another nest. On November 22, Fantagio officially announced that the idol had signed an exclusive contract with the agency.

It also shared that Changsub will receive full support in order to flourish his skills across various fields. Moreover, Fantagio assured that Changsub would still be continuing his group activities with BTOB.

"After discussing with Lee Changsub, we have signed an exclusive contract (with him) and decided to work together."

"For him to promote with enthusiasm in numerous fields, our agency will offer the best of its support to Lee Changsub. We will also support him in his activities with BTOB with the highest priority, as he's committed to his ventures with the group."
