ITZY Reveals Cute TWINZY Characters, K-pop Stans Floored with Initial JYPE 'Supergroup' Speculations

On December 12, JYP Entertainment officially announced on ITZY's official SNS their TWINZY project, featuring five new adorable characters representing each ITZY member.

According to the video, it introduced KKengEE (Yeji), Li-Li (Lia), RyuJJi (Ryujin), RyeoWoo (Chaeryoung) and NAong (Yuna).

Earlier on December 8, the K-pop community was sent into a frenzy by a mysterious trademark filing from JYP Entertainment. The submitted trademarks contained a project titled TWINZY, which was finalized on December 6.

The name TWINZY quickly grew viral across social media, with many fans saying that it could possibly be a supergroup comprising of the agency's Korean girl groups TWICE, NMIXX, and ITZY. However, some stated otherwise, saying that it might also be ITZY's doll project.

However, when the true reveal finally came, fans were gagged upon learning TWINZY's intention and full context. Stans also expressed their thoughts on X (Twitter).

Some commented that aside from the hilarious situation, fans mentioned that JYP Entertainment still managed to catch everyone's anticipation for an exciting supergroup and hoped that it would come true one day. Read their reactions below:
