In early December, BIGBANG G-Dragon was rumored to have signed with Galaxy Corporation, a company launched in 2019. It is famous for the successful production of Netflix's reality Series, "Physical: 100."

On December 5, the rumor was claimed to be untrue; rather, the K-pop legend plans to return to YG Entertainment and release his solo album.

Sports Seoul reported that G-Dragon has decided not to proceed with an exclusive contract with Galaxy Corporation.

This is following the initial report on December 5 that they are finalizing the details and are waiting for the official announcement to be made soon.

K-pop officials clarified:

"It is true that G-Dragon had a meeting with Galaxy, but it is not true that he has decided to sign an exclusive contract with the company."

Along with this news, the outlet then raised the possibility of G-Dragon signing a new contract with YG Entertainment following the contract expiration in June.

Based on insiders, GD, who is set to return to the music scene and reclaim his position as "King of K-pop" through a solo album, is likely to sign a contract with YG and start his music activities.

Following rumors, YG Entertainment released their official statement.

“It is difficult to talk about G-Dragon returning to YG Entertainment.”

Although fans are uncertain, the possibility remains after YG initially announced that they are still working with G-Dragon related to his advertising activities through a separate contract.

At the time, they hinted at possible additional contracts when the idol decided to resume his music activities.

However, on the same day, the label Galaxy involved in the report also released its official position and confirmed that GD founded his new home at the metaverse content company.

Galaxy announced that further details regarding GD's 2024 plans will be revealed and addressed on December 21 through a press conference in Banpo-dong, Seoul.

However, they clarified that the idol won't be able to attend the event.

Galaxy Corporation said:

"We will summarize and explain the case that G-Dragon was cleared of drug administration allegations, and explain his position on G-Dragon-related police, women with false reports, and haters.

We will also explain everything including G-Dragon's plans for 2024."

Amid these statements, GD, the male idol himself is yet to make his personal statement regarding his future plan related to his solo album and new label.
