On December 22, actor Kim Dong Wook finally tied the knot with his non-celebrity bride!

The wedding was held privately in Seoul and was attended by family and close friends. Earlier, the actor's agency Key East announced that the couple continued their serious meeting based on faith and trust, and the beautiful fruit of marriage came to fruition.

Kim Dong Wook's Bride Revealed to Be Former SM Trainee Stella Kim

Ahead of the marriage, the actor described the person he is to become a lifetime partner, saying:

"This winter, I met someone who would go through the next stage of my life with me and got married. As an actor or as an individual, I will always try to be responsible and show good performances."

Following reports, the bride's identity became a hot topic on social media platforms after her photos with SNSD Sooyoung were shared online.

It turned out that the non-celebrity wife is actually, Stella Kim, a popular SM trainee in the 2000s. At the time, Stella was a strong candidate to debut as Girls' Generation, but she left the company and went back to being a normal citizen.

Despite that, K-pop enthusiasts are touched that Stella and Sooyoung maintained a close friendship, and fans wondered if the other members also continued to get in touch with her.

For those people who aren't familiar with her, Stella Kim is a popular ex-SM trainee who was scouted by the company's founder Lee Soo Man himself in the United States.

Ahead of SNSD's debut, Stella Kim was introduced to join the new girl group at the time and built a rising fandom with over 5k fans even as a trainee. However, she left prior to their official launch, leaving regrets to fans.

Her departure's reason wasn't officially addressed, but there are two claims on why she left.

First, due to her parent's strong opposition to her debuting as an idol. In particular, they wanted her to pursue her studies first, which led her to enroll at New York University after giving up on becoming an idol.

Secondly, there are speculations that she left due to pressure on the strict and high idol beauty standards.

This is said to be the reason why she became interested in food, and took food nutrition as her major. She's currently a food and beauty marketer who aims to help women be more confident about themselves.

Meanwhile, her husband, Kim Dong Wook is currently active in the entertainment scene as an actor. He was recently chosen as the main lead for the SBS's new drama, "Not Powerful but Attractive Violent Crimes Unit."
