SISTAR19 Bora & Hyolyn Clueless About Idol Dating in ISAC: 'We are only there to play...'
ISAC is said to be a famous dating ground for K-pop idols, but SISTAR19 Bora and Hyolyn confessed they are clueless about it.
Among events every Korean Chuseok, K-pop fans always anticipate the Idol Star Athletic Championship (ISAC) wherein numerous idols gather in one venue to play and compete in various sports and games.
Launched in 2010 during the heyday of 2nd-gen groups, it continued and became a tradition up to the current fourth-gen artists.
As second-gen stars like Girl's Day, 2NE1 Dara, and MBLAQ reminisced about their glory days, they also claimed ISAC was a dating ground for idols - but Bora and Hyolyn claimed they have no idea.
Bora & Hyolyn Clueless About ISAC Being Dating Ground for K-pop Idols
On December 25, the sub-unit SISTAR19 comprised of Bora and Hyolyn appeared on YouTube's "Civilization Express-MMTG."
The duo surprised MC JaeJae and the viewers as they confessed that they had no idea that ISAC was a place for dating.
They hilariously showed their desire to go to the event for sports, and not to look for a romantic partner. Contrary to what other veteran idols are claiming, SISTAR19 hinted that their schedule and fans made it hard for flirting and dating to happen.
"It's true that we don't have any idea that (ISAC) was a ground for dating."

Hyolyn explained:
"We film ISAC from 5 a.m. until 5 a.m. the next day. We stick together in one space all the time. When my sisters have to run, I have to wait. But waiting is also playing.
But when I think about it, it seems like it could really be a place (for dating)."
Realizing this, Bora expressed her opinions that it could be possible, but since there are fans, it would also be impossible for skinship.
"But skinship is impossible. It was because all the fans were watching. They probably dated through eye contact. Maybe that's how they send signals. I think so. I also don't know!"
JaeJae also agreed that SISTAR19 is being honest since while other idols are busy looking at each other, the members who are only interested in sports are busy winning medals.
Bora & Hyolyn Express No Interest in Dating
Meanwhile, the duo continued to show their disinterest in dating, especially celebrities.
Regarding dating idols, Bora hilariously exclaimed that juniors should not date seniors, an advice coming from her experience.
Hyolyn also explained that she wasn't attracted to dating idols because she was more interested in meeting other people doing another profession.
"It's not because I am a celebrity. It's just that, I don't like meeting other people in the same profession. If you're doing something like building construction, I feel like people who build buildings are cool. How do they build a building so we can walk around there? Those thoughts."
Bora supported Hyolyn's statement, saying:
"You have more interest in a certain occupation that you don't know."
