9+ K-pop Rookie Groups to Debut in 2024: TWS, KATSEYE, NCT NEW TEAM, NEXZ, More!
In 2024, these rookies equipped with skills and charms are set to enter the K-pop scene! Which group do you look forward to the most?
As the K-pop craze continues to expand globally, a number of entertainment labels, like the BIG 4 (HYBE, SM, JYP, and YG), are preparing for full-fledged activities of their new artists.
Next year, there are high expectations that rookies TWS, KATSEYE, NCT NEW TEAM, and more will make buzz and turn more music fans into K-pop supporters with their debut.
HYBE to Unveil Groups Like TWS, I'LL-IT, KATSEYE in 2024
Starting with HYBE, its subsidiary agencies are preparing for the launch of next-gen K-pop stars!
Pledis Entertainment, home to top-notch boy group SEVENTEEN, will debut its boy group TWS next year, its first boy group in 9 years after the former. They are highly anticipated for their visual and musical skills.

I'LL-IT, a six-member group formed through JTBC's "R U Next?" in September, will also make their long-awaited debut under Belift Lab, home to ENHYPEN.
Lastly, KATSEYE is a global sextet selected during the HYBE-Geffen Records joint audition show, "Dream Academy" in November. It is expected that there will be a next-gen girl group that will make K-pop more known in the U.S., the birthplace of pop.
JYP, SM & YG Debut Lineup 2024: VCHA, NEXZ, NCT NEW TEAM
As for JYP Entertainment, the company will debut global collaboration artists like VCHA (Republic Records) in the US and NEXZ (Sony Music) in Japan. Both groups will be able to perform in a wide range like NiziU.
Meanwhile, SM Entertainment who opened its 3.0 system will be closing the old system left by SM's founder Lee Soo Man with the debut of NCT NEW TEAM, the last sub-unit of NCT. They are reportedly going to debut in January and will focus its activities in Japan.
At the same time, expectations are also high on whether or not a multi-member girl group mentioned at the time of "SM 3.0: NEW IP" will be launched in 2024.
As for YG, there is no report about the label debuting another group, but BLACKPINK's "little sister" BABYMONSTER, who debuted in November is expected to start its full-fledged activities next year.
Other K-pop Rookies to Be Launch in 2024
In addition, there are various announcements of newcomers such as NXD (RBW), All (H)ours (Eden Entertainment), and Geenius (sure place).
The emergence of these rookies is expected to be a driving force to emphasize the global expansion of K-pop, which coincides with the new performances of boy groups such as Seventeen, Stray Kids, and ATEEZ and girl groups such as NewJeans, IVE, LE SSERAFIM, and aespa this year.
