7 Idol Couples Revealed by 'Dispatch' on January 1 Through the Years — 2 Pairs Are Still Together
Since 2013, the K-media outlet Dispatch has been notorious for revealing a new couple as a scoop every January 1st of the year.
While waiting for the 2024 pair, let us recall idols' relationships revealed through the years. Are they still dating?
1. Rain & Kim Tae Hee (married)
In 2013, K-pop icon Rain and "Nation's First Love" Kim Tae Hee were the main characters of romance rumors by Dispatch.
They confirmed that they started dating in 2012 and after five years, the couple married each other in 2017.
In the same year, Kim gave birth to their first child and had their second in 2019.
2. Lee Seung Gi & SNSD YoonA
Yoona & Lee Seung Gi
In 2014, singer-actor Lee Seung Gi and Girls' Generation YoonA also publicly announced that they were dating through Dispatch.
Their relationship was well-received by the nation. Sadly, in 2015, they announced to have called it quits after a year and nine months of seeing each other.
In 2020, Lee Seung Gi found his new love, Lee Da In. They tied the knot in April 2023, and are now expecting their firstborn in February 2024.
3. JYJ Kim Junsu and EXID Hani
In 2016, icon Junsu and EXID Hani were revealed to be dating each other after the male idol made a move on the the idol actress. They were dating happily for months until they broke up in the same year.
Currently, Hani has been in a new relationship with psychiatrist Yang Jae Woong for two years now.
4. G-Dragon & Lee Jooyeon
In 2018, BIGBANG G-Dragon and former After School Lee Jooyeon were reportedly dating after being spotted meeting in a villa and traveling at the same time in the same airport.
Both agencies initially stated that they would look into it, but weeks passed there was no update until G-Dragon enlisted in the military and the rumor remains a mystery.
5. Lee Joon & Jung So Min

In 2018, the second Dispatch couple was revealed, featuring former MBLAQ Lee Joon and Jung So Min. They initially met in 2017 through the KBS drama "My Father Is Strange" and played a couple.
From reel to real, they dated for about three years until they broke up in 2020.
6. EXO Kai & BLACKPINK Jennie
In 2019, Kai and Jennie were said to be dating, after the male idol was caught picking up Jennie at her house after a schedule abroad. They were then seen dating at the park.
Both SM and YG confirmed the dating news, but after a month of publicly dating, they parted ways without revealing the reason.
7. Lee Jong Suk & IU (dating)
On December 31, 2022, IU and Lee Jong Suk took their 10-year friendship to the next level.
After meeting at a music show in 2012, they had been a constant in each other's lives and eventually, their closeness turned them into something more special.
A year has passed and they are still dating with good feelings in private.
