ATTRAKT CEO Breaks Silence on $10M Lawsuit with FIFTY FIFTY Trio —'I had no choice but to...'

In an exclusive interview with 'All That Star' channel on January 4th, ATTRAKT CEO Jeon Hong-jun opened up about the recent 13 billion won lawsuit filed against former FIFTY FIFTY members Aran, Sio, and Saena.

The CEO, visibly affected by the turn of events, expressed a mixture of bitterness and regret regarding the legal proceedings.

A Foolish Hope Shattered

Jeon Hong-jun revealed his bittersweet emotions, confessing to harboring a secret hope for the return of the terminated members.

"As the news of the lawsuit becomes public, I feel a sense of bitterness. I secretly hoped that the three members who terminated their contracts would come back," he said.

Despite his initial hope, Jeon Hong-jun acknowledged the irreparable nature of the situation. "If they had returned, I had even foolishly thought about sincerely apologizing to the public and seeking forgiveness. It's a situation that cannot be salvaged as of today, the day the lawsuit was filed."

Displeasure at the Placed Responsibility

Expressing displeasure at the responsibility placed on the three members, Jeon Hong-jun questioned the presence of guidance from responsible adults, stating, "It's disheartening that the three bear the responsibility for this situation. If there were good adults around, would this have happened?"

A Regretful Success

The CEO expressed regret about the success of FIFTY FIFTY, emphasizing the rarity of creating a successful group. He lamented, "Creating a successful group has a one in a billion chance. If they took the wrong path, they should have come back."

Jeon Hong-jun acknowledged the absence of any contact from the terminated members and the necessity of the lawsuit. He stated, "I had no choice but to proceed with the lawsuit. From today, the first generation of FIFTY FIFTY has disappeared from the music scene. I waited until the end like a fool. It's heavy-hearted to see."

Despite the challenges, Jeon Hong-jun shared his dedication to the company's growth, focusing on the activities of FIFTY FIFTY 2nd generation and the formation of a new girl group. "For the company's growth, I am dedicated to finding new members and making a quick comeback with more fantastic music," he emphasized.

ATTRAKT's Three-Pronged Approach

To sum up the current situation, ATTRAKT is actively pursuing three main tracks: the 10 million USD lawsuit, the reselection of FIFTY FIFTY 2nd generation members, and the birth of a new girl group.

Previously, members of FIFTY FIFTY applied for a suspension of the exclusive contract against ATTRAKT in June 2023, which was rejected by the court in August.

Despite appeals, the court rejected them in October, with one member, Keena, withdrawing the appeal and returning to ATTRAKT.

Meanwhile, Aran, Sio, and Saena are actively seeking new agencies and expressing their willingness to continue their activities in the industry. The unfolding legal saga and the dynamics between the company and its former members continue to capture the attention of the entertainment industry.
