Did Girl's Day Hyeri's face become unrecognizable? In an online forum, the K-pop idol sparked a heated debate following an alleged drastic change in her visuals.

On January 5, Girl's Day Hyeri started her new web show, "Hyells Club," uploaded on her YouTube channel. On this day, Jisoo, the main visuals of BLACKPINK, reported as its first guest, introducing herself as Hyeri's "stalker."

To commemorate the success of the show's premiere, Hyeri thanked Jisoo's appearance and uploaded a photo of the two together.

In the picture, they exuded big best friends energy while doing the same pose of having their hands under their chin.

In particular, fans were delighted to see their closeness despite coming from a different K-pop gen era and agencies.

Seeing their bond, it seemed like Hyeri and Jisoo were friends for decades, but in fact, their sisterly relationship started only in 2018, when they first met through tvN's "Amazing Saturday."

Jisoo explained:

"Hyeri is close to Rosé and I am close to her (the latter). When I first met her, I got a lot of tips about life in the entertainment scene because she was the same age as me and my senior at the same time.

At the time, when I looked at her, I was impressed and amazed by how far she's seen in the entertainment industry."

Amid the enjoyable episode between the two artists, Hyeri particularly became a hot topic in online communities following her appearance in her show.

In Instiz, an internet user took to the online forum to share how they didn't recognize Hyeri's face, writing:

"Why doesn't she seem like the Hyeri I know? For a moment, I didn't recognize her to the point I mistook her for DAVICHI's Lee Hae Ri. Am I the only one who didn't recognize her?"

Upon upload, the post gained thousands of views, sparking a heated debate in the comment section.

Following the post, some netizens agreed about not recognizing Hyeri, then acknowledging that her face underwent drastic changes.
