MIDZYs loved it, but the general public thought the song was lackluster and did not have any addictive parts. On top of that, many are now claiming ITZY may have copied BLACKPINK for this comeback.

This marks ITZY's first comeback as four members following Lia's hiatus to focus on her mental health. As four members, JYP Entertainment garnered criticism for lacking sense and creativity in building a unique concept.

For "UNTOUCHABLE," ITZY rocked a strong, girl crush, warrior concept. People believe ITZY's visuals is just a repetition of BLACKPINK's iconic look. To be specific, people stated that ITZY's look for "UNTOUCHABLE" is extremely similar to BLACKPINK's visuals in "Pink Venom."

Previously, ITZY's four-member combition has earned strong comparisons to aespa. People believed the strong resemblance did not work in ITZY's favor.

In addition, many feel regret for ITZY's golden age. In the past, they were a pioneering girl group of the fourth generation, with their own unique color and strong musical personality. However, their recent comebacks received lackluster reactions. Now, with four members, the color has dimmed.

People believe ITZY is losing hype. The music video for "UNTOUCHABLE" earned only 2.5 million views after 24 hours, which is considerably lower than previous comebacks.

ITZY Mentions Lia During the 'UNTOUCHABLE' Showcase

During the showcase for "UNTOUCHABLE," the four promoting members of ITZY mentioned Lia, who is taking a temporary hiatus from group activities due to health reasons.

Yeji remained positive for the comeback, stating, "It is the beginning of the year, and I am really happy about this positive start. Please look forward to the memorable moment we have created for our album, 'Born to Be.'"

The leader then mentions Lia, stating, "Lia is always supporting us. She said she will keep a close eye on us during the promotional period. With Lia's encouragement, we will make sure to show a better version when she returns."
