On January 23, netizens gathered in a forum titled, "Why is JYP Entertainment trying to push NMIXX Kyujin this much?"

In the post, the author claimed that the center role, as well as their songs' killing parts, are all given to Kyujin.

While OP clarified that Kyujin is indeed one of fourth-gen's most talented idols performance-wise, it claimed that it was better to push Sullyoon instead due to her popularity and flair. OP also mentioned how the agency should've also pushed Jiwoo and former member JINI.

"For the killing part and the center role, they're all given to Kyujin. She's the maknae and she works hard on stage. Plus, she's good at singing and dancing. But the one who has the highest recognition among the public is Sullyoon, right?

She's the main visual and she sings well. I hope they can raise their awareness and push her more. Personally, I feel like before Jinnie left the group, they should've pushed her and Sullyoon as their centers as much as possible and they would've gotten so many fans.

Jiwoo has also lost a bunch of weight and she got so much prettier, they should at least push her and Sullyoon."

The author continued that JYP Entertainment should've waited a few years more before pushing Kyujin. Moreover, it added how pushing Sullyoon won't harm NMIXX's individual spotlights since all members are equally talented and unique in their own way.

"I'm an NMIXX fan and I love Kyujin. But I feel that with her charms and her being the golden maknae, they would've waited a bit more until NMIXX had gotten more recognition before pushing her.

Right now, NMIXX is still in their debut years, and they should've waited to hit bigger before establishing her image. Sullyoon doesn't even need JYP to push her to make some buzz and they should've given her a bunch of individual ads instead.

People always bring up what happened with miss A's Suzy, but the other members (of NMIXX) are also super talented, so you'll never hear stuff like Sullyoon and friends. It's frustrating."
