After six years, the "Nation's Pick" girl group I.O.I reunited!

In a vlog, Jeon Somi shared a heartwarming reunion with 8 members. Are the 11 members still close even after parting ways in 2017?

In December 2023, it was revealed that the 11-member group gathered together for a Christmas dinner, which was belatedly revealed by Jeon Somi in a vlog.

On January 22, the I.O.I center-turned-soloist posted a new video on her personal YouTube channel, titled, "SOM-THING Ep.12|2023 MAMA BEHIND & Merry Mungchis-mas (feat. I.O.I) V-log."

Jeon Somi Reunited With 8/11 I.O.I Members

In her vlog, Somi was seen heading to Thailand with her father to watch her performance for Octopop. She also showed her preparation for the 2023 MAMA Awards, which was held in Japan.

However, what became the main highlight of the last episode of her web content, "Som-thing," was when she shared clips from the Christmas party she had with I.O.I. Somi explained:

"I'm preparing for a Christmas dinner right now! I.O.I unnies are on their way right now. I'm cooking beef bourguignon, isn't it amazing? It requires so much effort, but the unnies wanted to eat that! That's why I made it. I also have here feta cheese cold pasta, I just put it out of the oven."

While preparing the food, Kim Sejeong was the first one to arrive, followed by Nayoung.

Later on, I.O.I's Christmas party began, with Chung Ha, Doyeon, Yoojung, Mina, and Yeonjung joining the initial three members.

When Chung Ha started to take out the presents she brought for the members, all of them also started taking out their gifts to each other, exchanging waves of laughter and smiles while eating sumptuous foods prepared by Somi.

Unfortunately, the videos were all taken at high speed, which was why what the members talked about couldn't be heard or understood by viewers.

As a gift to fans, Somi asked the members in the I.O.I group chat if they could send voice messages to be included in the vlog and surprisingly, 11 out of 11 members complied!

Kyulkyung, Sohye, and Chaeyeon Leave Voice Messages to Fans After Failing to Join I.O.I Christmas Party

The members made their fans' hearts flutter when even the three members, who couldn't join, left their voice messages.

Starting with Kyulkyung, she sent the message:

"Hear this out."

She continued:

"Happy New Year! Bye!"

Sohye also greeted fans by saying, "Bye," while Chaeyeon left the message:

"Merry Christmas and Happy New Year."

Apparently, the three members weren't able to attend the Christmas party due to their busy schedules.

Zhou Kyulkyung is currently in China and is a hot actress and singer in her own country, under the name Zhou Jie Qiong.

Sohye and Chaeyeon then transitioned to being actresses.

Sohye recently starred in the drama, "My Lovely Boxer," while the latter is filming for her new drama, "Family by Choice," set to be aired this year.
