Ahyeon's status in the group has been finally updated by Yang Hyun Suk, much to the excitement of BABYMONSTER fans. However, they also drew out mixed reactions for THIS reason.

BABYMONSTER Ahyeon to Return in Group After Hiatus, Stans Raise Brows in YG's Video Announcements

On January 24, YG Entertainment uploaded a YouTube video titled, "BABYMONSTER - YG Surprise Announcement."

According to the post, founder Yang Hyun Suk was featured in the clip, where he updated BABYMONSTER's activities and Ahyeon's status in the group.

Yang Hyun Suk revealed that the idol has fully recovered her health and is currently participating in the music production for BABYMONSTER's comeback. Their new song "Stuck In The Middle," alongside debut track "BATTER UP" would also be re-recorded to include Ahyeon.

Yang Hyun Suk: "Once again, I find myself greeting you unexpectedly. Fortunately, Ahyeon has fully recovered her health and as of today, Ahyeon is back at YG."

Yang Hyun Suk: "She's currently recording songs for the album. I wanted to share this joyful news with you as soon as possible, and that's why I'm addressing everyone like this."

Question: "What about the songs 'BATTER UP' and 'Stuck In The Middle' that were prepared as a six-membered group?"

Yang Hyun Suk: "The album will be re-recorded with all seven members including Ahyeon. From the mini-album onwards, you can look forward to BABYMONSTER's activities as a perfect seven-member group."

On the same day (January 24), the video caught the attention of netizens in a forum, where BABYMONSTER's mood sampler for "Stuck In The Middle" was also uploaded.

While many were excited for Ahyeon's return, netizens also expressed dissatisfaction with Yang Hyun Suk's surprise video announcements. They questioned the founder and agency's odd choice of posting videos instead of official statements.

K-netz and international fans also complained why Yang Hyun Suk was always appearing in content related to BABYMONSTER, while others speculated that the founder wanted to be credited for the group as much as possible.
