SEVENTEEN, Lim Young Woong, IU, More Listed as Most Popular Korean Artists of January 2024

Lim Young Woong, SEVENTEEN, More Dominate January 2024's Singer Brand Reputation Rankings

From December 27, 2023, to January 27, 2024, the Korean Business Research Institute collected data that determined which Korean artists trended the most.

According to its newest list, the rankings comprised both solo artists and K-pop groups, who trended for the month of January due to their activities, schedules, music releases, social media content, and many more.

For January 2024, the most popular Korean singer was none other than singer Lim Young Woong, who received a brand reputation index of 7,709,715.

Meanwhile, the second place belonged to top third-gen boy group SEVENTEEN, who received a brand reputation index of 5,701,916. Ever since 2023, the group has continuously made headlines with their songs, activities, and achievements.

The group was trailed by fourth-gen representative LE SSERAFIM, who garnered a brand reputation index of 4,226,050. This January, the quintet has been making buzz about their upcoming comeback "EASY."

Various online communities have been ignited just to discuss the girls' teasers and visuals for their highly anticipated return. With the group's ongoing momentum keeping up with K-pop's fast-paced environment, LE SSERAFIM would most likely be kickstarting 2024 greatly.

IVE continued the list by placing in No. 4, where they received a brand reputation index of 4,226,050. The girl group has also managed to get everyone's attention due to their newest digital single "All Night (feat. Saweetie)."

The release is a remake of Swedish duo Icona Pop's 2013 hit song, which dazzled listeners, DIVEs, and the K-pop community. The song has also received positive feedback from netizens, who praised the song's twist and Saweetie's rap verses.

Finally, legendary icon IU completed the top five. According to the Korean Business Research Institute, IU received a brand reputation index of 3,775,888 for January.

The soloist has been topping charts and trending on social media platforms for her newest pre-release single "Love wins all," which featured V of BTS. Online threads were established to discuss her acting skills, as well as her chemistry with the BTS member.
