In an online community, THIS 3rd-gen idol went viral after she allegedly intentionally dropped her cake, leading people to call her "dumb."

An old clip of LOONA YeoJin circulated on various online and social media portals. With it, she earned negative comments from K-pop fans.

LOONA YeoJin's Past Birthday Cake Incident Resurfaces

The third-gen female idol drew attention once again after an internet user brought back her birthday cake incident, which happened on November 11 last year.

At the time, LOONA Yeoji celebrated her special day and to commemorate it with fans, she held a live broadcast. The staff and fans surprised her with various gifts and one of them was a bear-themed mini-cake.

During the photo op, Yeojin then carried it with both hands and tilted it 90°, facing the camera. She was shaking it playfully when the cake fell, making her laugh deliriously.

It took her a few minutes before she was able to pull herself together and ask while still laughing, "What should I do?"

Fortunately, the cake landed successfully on the table and wasn't damaged as much as it could be. Thus, YeoJin decided to pick it up again and put it on the cake board using her chopsticks and still take a bite of it.

Following this, various reactions spread like wildfire, with some saying that it could be a pure accident. However, a plethora of people agreed that YeoJin "intentionally" dropped the cake, due to reaction instead of being sad about it.

However, after watching the video, netizens showed various reactions as to why she made the cake fall from the board.

Initially, her fans expressed concerns that her label signaled her to drop the cake so that she wouldn't need to eat it. After all, idols' weights are strictly monitored; thus, eating cake and any food might ruin their diet.

But fans defended the label and YeoJin, since in the latter part of the broadcast, the idol was still seen eating it after picking it up from the table.

Due to this, some left with the opinion that she intentionally dropped it for attention. She was criticized for laughing about it for more than a minute, despite people not seeing any fun in it at all.

YeoJin also receives insults such as her being "dumb," "silly," "brainless" and "cringe," for being so "obvious" about her "act."

K-netz claimed that she could have been yearning to go viral as well, which is lately the case for idols who dropped their cake, presumably in attempt for hilarity.
