In an online community, RIIZE Sungchan's academic background is being re-examined, with claims that he's a "silver" spoon idol.

Among SM Entertainment's new boy group members, Anton is popularly known for his family's wealthy background, being the son of veteran musician Yoon Sang.

Just then, fans thought that there was another member with a rich upbringing, named none other than RIIZE Sungchan. Why do fans think so?

Is RIIZE Sungchan's Family Rich? Proofs of Idol's Wealthy Background Resurfaced

On February 2, an online article was posted on Nate Pann, titled, "So, Sungchan was a silver spoon."

The OP continued:

"I'm jealous, he's the second silver spoon from RIIZE."

In particular, the author attached Sungchan's profile information and re-examined it. Starting with his place of birth, he lived in Seoul City, Gangnam-gu, Gaepo-dong.

Moving to his academic background, he attended Seoul Kuryong Elementary School, Seoul Eonbuk Middle School and Chungdam High School, which are all prominent schools in Gangnam.

The netizens highlighted how he attended Gangnam School District 8 Public Middle School in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Korea, which is a district where sons and daughters of rich families attend schools.

• "But he seemed to be a bright, not twisted child from a well-bred family. Seeing that he graduated from Gangnam School District 8, it seems like the family itself gets along with each other. Maybe that's why he has a nice and clean expression and atmosphere."
• "But doesn't Chungdam High School require a certain amount of money to get in? Liz and Jennie also graduated from that school."
• "But if you take the Eonbuk Middle School and Chungdam High School routes, isn't he living a pretty good life? I'm not sure if it's true, but I'm curious."

Internet users also looked back on his pre-debut era where he was seen wearing luxury items as a trainee.

• "But I think this is true. Even when he was a secret trainee, he was seen wearing a Rolex or Swiss. Anyway, he went to see a senior's concert and was caught by a fan site, so he quietly took off the watch and put it in his pocket. BRIIZE React on Sungchan's 'Silver Spoon' Claims

While netizens showed interest in Sungchan's alleged wealthy background, BRIIZE (fandom) asked internet users to tone down the speculations.

In particular, fans implied that Sungchan doesn't like talking about his background and family, adding that digging about it will only cause backlash to the idol. In fact, it was yet to be confirmed but the male idol is already earning the label, "nepo baby."

• "There is a high possibility that this will attract malicious comments. Just because he lives in Gangnam doesn't necessarily mean he has a silver spoon, and posting something like this would do more harm than good."
• "Not everyone who lives in District 8 is rich? Haha, it's so funny. I graduated from elementary and middle school in the 8th district and went to a foreign country, but there are a lot of ordinary kids there, too."
