The MY revealed they met aespa during the 2021 Macy's Thanksgiving Parade, where they were working as a personal assistant. During the event, the MY was freezing due to the cold and had forgotten to wear gloves. Seeing this, Ningning offered her a heat pack.
Though the MY insisted she was okay, Ningning was constantly asking if they were sure.

The interaction lasted around 30 seconds and only ended when her managers called for her.
She asked if the MY felt warmer, and they stated she was and thanked Karina.
