On February 19, 2024, LE SSERAFIM held their comeback showcase to celebrate the release of their third extended play, "EASY."

Is LE SSERAFIM 'Smart' Choreography Inappropriate for Hong Eunchae?

Following the showcase, FEARNOTS took to social media platforms such as X (formerly Twitter) to slam the company for making the girls perform such provocative choreography. Backlash stems from the fact that the group's youngest member, Hong Eunchae, is 17 years old and a minor.

Despite that, she joins the other members as they perform several suggestive dance moves. She is seen twerking with the other members, as well as shaking her hips with her back facing the audience. These dance moves are considered too controversial for an idol as young as Hong Eunchae. In the GIFs below, Hong Eunchae is the member with purple hair and wearing a yellow crop top.

Many stated that the song itself was relatively calm and "chill," meaning they did not need to add such suggestive moves. Others noted that if the company, Source Music, wanted the group to lean towards a sexier concept, they should not have included a member so young in LE SSERAFIM's line-up.

People noted that with each LE SSERAIM comeback, they become more and more sexier, with dance moves that involve them shaking their butts. FEARNOTS believe this should be avoided until Hong Eunchae becomes an adult, as it is not appropriate for a minor to perform such dances.

It was noted that LE SSERAFIM's fandom has a large percentage of adult males, making the situation more uncomfortable.

It is important to note that none of the blame is put on Hong Eunchae, as she is simply doing what she is told as an idol.
