TWICE Jeongyeon Reveals Thoughts on the Group's Future

TWICE of Jeongyeon is the cover girl for Harper's Bazaar Korea's March issue. To celebrate, the idol sat down for an interview with the publication.

During the interview, they mentioned that TWICE's latest album, "With YOU-th" is set to be released on February 23. They asked Jeongyeon what youth TWICE wanted to convey with their album.

There, Jeongyeon mentioned it is their tenth year as a group, and they have matured and aged since their debut. Because of that, the group thought long and hard about how to teach the youth that they can only show now. According to Jeongyeon, this is the album that required the most discussion among the nine members, as they looked back at their debut days until now.

The publication then asks Jeongyeon if she can believe it is already TWICE's tenth year as a group.

Jeongyeon also expressed her shock. She then revealed that when they were renewing their contracts with JYP Entertainment, one of the members asked, "How many more albums can we release as TWICE in the future?"

There, Jeongyeon acknowledges that they cannot be active as TWICE forever. Though she mentions it would be nice if they could, she remains realistic and acknowledges that a time will come when each member will have to walk their own paths.

The members actually discussed this possibility while preparing for their latest album. In the past, they only focused on TWICE, but now they must think of what they want to do after, as it is not a given they will be able to prepare albums like they are used to in the future.

Jeongyeon then moved the topic along, stating that the thought of not being in TWICE makes her sad.

With that, it is likely a day will come when TWICE will stop making music and the members will pursue solo activities.

On February 2, 2024, TWICE released the single "I Got You." The song serves as the pre-release single from their thirteenth Korean EP, "With YOU-th," which will be released on February 23.

It was also announced that the group will release their fifth Japanese studio album next summer, in conjunction with their special concerts at Yanmar Stadium Nagai and Nissan Stadium, scheduled for July 2024.
