Shinsadong Tiger, the creative force behind Tri.be's recent comeback, passed away on February 23rd, sending shockwaves through the K-pop industry.

Confirming the news to Ilgan Sports on the same day, the agency stated, "The news of Shinsadong Tiger's death is true. We received word of his passing a short while ago. Further details regarding the funeral arrangements will be shared once finalized."

A Mentor and Collaborator

Tri.be's deep connection with Shinsadong Tiger was evident in their recent comeback, featuring the song "Diamond" from their second mini album "W.A.Y," which he had written and composed.

At their comeback showcase on February 20th, the group shared insights into their collaborative process, expressing heartfelt gratitude for Shinsadong Tiger's mentorship.

"We received regular feedback from Producer Shinsadong Tiger. Whenever we encountered difficult pronunciations, he would record and send them to us directly, offering invaluable guidance."

Uncertain Future Engagements

Despite their recent performance on KBS2's "Music Bank," Tri.be faces uncertainties regarding their upcoming schedule. Scheduled appearances on MBC's "Show! Music Core" and SBS's "Inkigayo" now hang in the balance following the producer's untimely passing.

Shinsadong Tiger, renowned for his chart-topping compositions, crafted iconic hits such as T-ara's "Roly-Poly," Apink's "NoNoNo" and "Remember," EXID's "Up & Down" and "DDD," and Momoland's "BBoom BBoom." His influence extended to launching Tri.be, with whom he continued to collaborate closely until his recent passing.
