VVUP Hyunny Could Pass as Seulgi x Jennie's Daughter Due to Their Uncanny Similarities

On February 26, the soon-to-debut girl group VVUP posted individual photos of its members via its official social media platforms. Among them, a member caught the eye of fans for her striking resemblance to 3rd-gen K-pop idols.

The label EgoENT revealed the profile of Hyunny, the leader of the quartet.

In the photo released, she drew attention for her visuals and chic expression contrary to her sporty casual look. While emphasizing eye makeup, her sharp eyes also showcased the bold spirit of a rookie.

Upon posting, Hyunny became a hot topic among K-pop fans. They particularly acknowledged her similarities with Red Velvet Seulgi and BLACKPINK Jennie.

She also boasts cat-like eyes, the signature feature of the two 3rd-gen idols. In addition to this, she possesses the hip yet innocent duality of Seulgi and Jennie as well.

Hyunny received comments like:

• "Looking at Hyunny's face, you can see Seulgi, Jennie and Haerin."
• "She's really Seulgi x Jennie's daughter."

Who Is Hyunny? More About VVUP Leader

When her photos circulated online, more fans showed interest in her and asked about her.

Hyunhee, hereinafter Hyunny, was born in 2005 and will play the role of the team leader of VVUP.

Prior to her official debut in the second half of 2024, she was first known as a former participant of MBC's "My Teenage Girl." At the time, she revealed that her role model is actually BLACKPINK Jennie.

Just like the global superstar, Hyunhee was able to advance to the final battle thanks to her excellent stage presence as well as top singing, rapping and dancing skills.

She even ranked the highest among the Grade-3, receiving rave reviews from judges and viewers with her self-written rap for her own rendition of "Chung Ha's "Bicycle."

Unfortunately, she failed to join the group's TOP 7 lineup after ranking 11th, leading her not to join the debut of CLASS:y.

After about 2 years, Hyunny is finally debuting as VVUP under egoENT. VVUP (pronounced as BIBI UP) is a play to the letter "W," which is the first letter of the word, "WIN." "UP" then means that they will continue to rise toward the top.

VVUP, which is set to debut in the first half of this year, will release its pre-debut single "Doo Doom Chit" on March 13.
