On February 27, a new "power couple" was born in the entertainment industry after Karina and Lee Jae Wook confirmed that they are dating.

While fans cheered for them, the couple cadn't avoid criticism that they announced it "too early" without thinking about its impact on their respective careers.

Amid malicious comments, supporters defended Karina and Lee Jae Wook, putting their blame on the Korean media outlet, Dispatch, which exposed their relationship without their knowledge.

Due to the photos taken as pieces of evidence, this left them no choice but to admit it although they are in the early stage of getting to know each other.

Following this, C-Jes Studio released a follow-up statement asking people to refrain from posting malicious comments against Lee Jae Wook, who received absurd hate for dating the K-pop idol widely loved in and out of South Korea.

At the time, Lee was accused of leaving his former actress girlfriend in December 2023 for Karina. However, people think this is not possible since the first time that the couple met was in January 2024.

While the actor's fans initially felt grateful to the label, this didn't last long after a media outlet released an article claiming that Lee Jae Wook decided to terminate his exclusive contract with C-Jes Studio by April, and launch a stand-alone company with his long-time manager to manage his succeeding activities and schedules.

Fans immediately felt something was off with this news, given that Lee Jae Wook's relationship was good so far until the dating news.

This only leaves fans speculating that C-Jes Studio leaked his relationship with Karina to Dispatch as a "blackmail" attempt, because he would no longer renew his contract.

This reminded them of Lee Seung Gi who also faced multiple controversies prior to announcing his departure from his former agency, Hook Entertainment.

Regarding this, the label only denied the claims and briefly stated:

"Lee Jae Wook is still an actor under C-JeS Studios. There is still time left on his contract, so we cannot give a comment regarding his plan in the meantime."

aespa Karina Makes First Public Appearance Following Dating News

Meanwhile, aespa Karina who is publicly seeing the actor continued her official activities on February 29 and received much love and support from fans.

On this day, she made a surprise appearance at the Krush pop-up store launched at the Lotte Department Store Avenue in Jamsil to commemorate its 100th day since the launch of the alcoholic beverage.

Karina, being its model visited the event and greeted fans wearing blue cardigans and jeans. While there are concerns about how she's taking the sudden exposure of her private life, the star showed up with bright and fresh beauty, making fans relieved that she's doing well.
