In a Korean news website, HyunA became the subject of hate after her recent airport appearance. What happened?

On March 4, former Wonder Girls and 4 Minute HyunA made headlines following her appearance at the Incheon International Airport in Unseo-dong, Jung-gu, Incheon.

On this day, the idol was said to be leaving for Bangkok, Thailand to fulfill a scheduled overseas photo shoot.

HyunA Draws Attention for Recent Visuals

Prior to her departure, HyunA took her time to greet and meet Korean journalists and fans who were present at the airport to take her photos.

As a fashion icon, the "Red" singer flaunted her unconventional style wearing an ensemble of knee-length wide-leg pants and layers of white inner shirt, green cardigan and black leather jacket. She then completed her look with a white sneakers and shoulder bag.

But aside from her 'fit, what caught fans' attention the most was her visuals, which received mixed reactions from fans.

On his departure day, HyunA shared her photos on her Instagram story, drawing attention to her doll-like beauty. Her fair skin truly matched her copper-blonde hair.

She was also praised by media outlets, receiving positive headlines such as:

• "HyunA, real-life doll beauty."
• "HyunA, heart-stopping beauty."
• "HyunA, a walking doll."

Phrases such as "unrealistic doll," "full of fatal charms," "sparking jewel beauty," etc., were also used to describe her.

K-Netz Made Fun of HyunA's 'Doll-like' Beauty

However, K-netizens mocked these headlines and questioned media outlets for using the description, "doll-like" to her.

On the official website of Nate News, HyunA's article received 374 "It's ridiculous" reactions, with 11 "I'm upset" and 12 "I'm angry." Only 10 were positive reactions and most of the comments were also bashing her appearance.

Fans made fun of HyunA, for being compared to a Barbie doll, and suggested that she rather look like "Annabelle," the doll in the horror film of the same name.

• "This is exactly what I am thinking, and I was about to write the same comment."
• "Personally, I never find her pretty. Her cheekbones are so protruding that she gives off the same vibes as an ajuhmma even when she was in her early 20s."

• "Does it look like a Barbie doll to you? Why do I think you're not a girl? Is it just me."

Meanwhile, HyunA who debuted in 2007 was initially one of the most loved idols and supported for her women-empowering music and unconventional yet confident personality.

However, she tarnished her image after confirming her relationship with Yong Junhyung. This is because the former BEAST member was embroiled in the Burning Sun Scandal and admitted that he received illegally taken private videos.
