A Korean Neverland revealed that they left the fandom because of (G)I-DLE Shuhua, and pointed out that the idol treats her fans like "pushovers."

On March 6, a fan of (G)I-DLE took to Nate Pann to express frustration over Shuhua's lack of resolve as an idol. As a response, the post caused divided opinions among the fandom, Neverlands.

In particular, the OP started:

"Shuhua has consistently viewed her fans as pushovers."

They then justified this claim starting with how the female idol would seldom use SNS to communicate with fans.

From April 2023 to March 2024, it was said that she only messaged them 20 times, over 365 days. This is the combined total from various platforms including Bubble, Weverse, etc.

She rarely posts on Instagram as well, which is usually the main platform used by idols to update their status to fans and supporters.

Lastly, fans complained that it was because of her that (G)I-DLE had to stop promotion for "Super Lady," yet even after a month, Shuhua didn't give any update to fans who were both worried and curious about her.

The OP then lashed out to Shuhua and revealed why they are leaving the fandom, saying:

"She's definitely not the busiest in (G)I-DLE and she's also the least talented, so at least, can you use your time for the fans a bit? She can't even give fans the bare minimum, she doesn't even have a little bit of that resolve.

If it was any other idol, there would have been a lot of controversies and talk about it, but since her fans are always babying her (I used to do that as well), they always let her get away with it.

It's been like this even before she got sick and it has piled up now, so I can't take this anymore. I will leave the fandom."

Following the post, there are K-Nevies who agreed with the author and left comments like:

• "Just go back to Taiwan. People like Shuhua are ungrateful people who don't appreciate their fans and don't know how much love they receive compared to their abilities. You probably know that your intellectual ability is lacking, but if you know that many people like you, you should think about working harder and doing well."
• "When I look at Shuhua, I feel like she just doesn't fit in with being an idol. She wasn't born with talent or skills, but her face is so pretty, it might have been better if she had become an actor. She has a really great personality, but she's not good at Korean, so she gets misunderstood a lot. It looks like she's trying hard when she talks, but her skills are still below that of idols."

K-Nevies Defend (G)I-DLE from Malicious Comments

On the flip side, more fans defended the star and pointed out that (G)I-DLE has her own star quality that is needed by the group which people can't just find from anyone, aside from her skills.

Regarding her lack of communication, Shuhua's support also clarified that they are okay with it as long as she's getting better and resting well after non-stop working in the past years.

• "Why on earth would you criticize her for being so busy with recovering her health? She's already getting so much hate for nothing, that you should go to a mental hospital."
• "The life of a pretty person is really tiring."
• "While talking about women's rights, women criticize women more than anyone else."
