On March 8, the Korean media outlet Star News released journalist's photos taken with NewJeans Hanni during her attendance at the 2022 Korean Music Awards.

While looking stunning as ever, she received mockery from Korean netizens when an OP called her out for not being able to manage her weight.

NewJeans Hanni Raises Brows for Apparent Weight Gain

In the online community Nate Pann, a netter wrote an article, implying NewJeans Hanni's speculated weight gain. The OP said:

"She's still pretty now, but I wish she could manager her weight a little more."

Looking at the photo, Hanni flaunted her innocent and healthy appearance wearing black-and-white themed 'fit and hair ribbon partnered with a mary jane shoes.

When her photos were shared in the forum, there are netizens who agreed with the OP and went on by mocking Hanni, saying:

• "Her mom and dad are Vietnamese, so her facial structure itself is Vietnamese, no matter how much she put on it, she can't fake her blood."
• "Her bones are different from Koreans."
• "To be honest, her body type doesn't suit luxury high fashion."

Bunnies Clap Back to Haters Over Telling NewJeans Hanni to Lose Weight

When Bunnies (NewJeans fandom) saw the post, they immediately shielded the young idol from malicious commenters.

First, fans counterattacked the OP, pointing out that there is nothing to manage. Bunnies expressed love to Hanni by attesting her that she could have whatever body type as long as she is healthy.

• "But doesn't it look good on Hanni even if she gained a little weight? She's pretty if she lose weight and she's cute if she gain weight."
• "She will take care of it once they have their comeback. Why does it even matter if you are not a fan?"
• "What is there to manage?"

In fact, some fans actually find it better for Hanni to have more weight rather than looking unhealthy just to fit the idol body standards.
