After ridiculing news of aespa Karina's relationship with Lee Jae Wook, THIS idol released a lengthy apology letter on her Instagram.

On March 13, former Oh My Girl JinE apologized after mocking the new couple's relationship as soon as it was confirmed on February 27. At the time, the idol posted a photo and caption, which was presumed to throw "shade" at the uproar Karina's dating issue has caused.

As a result, she was immediately canceled and criticized for adding fuel to the fire.

While she initially apologized, JinE was forced to formally issue a public apology due to the continuous hate she was getting.

In her letter, JinE acknowledged her wrongdoing and explained her position.

"I really contemplated a lot about where to start. I couldn't say anything even as the story grew bigger because I was worried that an explanation would be an excuse. I am sorry.

Even though I can't handle the story for a few days, I am telling you this because I feel that I can't just hide from it for the sake of those who believe in me as well as the people who have been harmed by this incident.

First of all, I'm extremely grateful for your positive attention and support, I would have not posted such an article on my account for negative attention. I also don't have a non-account.

Most importantly, I admit that there was a mistake in the expression of my writing. My original intention was to hear many stories that came from people around me after the article about the dating rumor.

As the member who was most interested in the group, I felt that excessive criticism was being exchanged, and I was upset because I knew my position all the more well.

In the process, I used the expression, 'Nanrina' (It's a mess) which means that everyone should stop. I should have been careful in my words, but I wasn't.

I would like to once again apologize to the parties and fans who have suffered harm due to my words and actions. I'm sorry."

Earlier on February 28, JinE posted a photo of herself with the caption:

"Karina, Karina, Karina, Narina (it's a mess)."

As this was uploaded amid the ruckus caused by the dating news, netizens raised suspicions about this, saying:

 "Did JinE mock Karina?"

As the controversy erupted, the former idol initially said sorry on her Instagram story on the 29th, briefly saying:

"I'm sorry if what I said was inappropriate. I just wanted to convey my sadness because she (Karina) is my favorite member."

Despite this, the malicious comments she's getting continue, leading her to issue a formal apology letter.

Meanwhile, JinE debuted as a member of the girl group Oh My Girl in April 2015, but withdrew from the team in 2017 after suspending her activities for health reasons such as anorexia.
