In particular, Hyeri - Park Bo Gum's shippers resurfaced after learning about the idol's breakup, then starting the narrative that the actor has a crush on Hyeri, based on his Weibo account.

The speculations started when Chinese fans noticed that Park Bo Gum's official Weibo account still has a photo of himself and Hyeri as its background photo.

The photo was taken during their hit drama "Reply 1988," where they played the role of friends Choi Taek (Bo Gum) and Deok Sun (Lee Hyeri).

Surprisingly, he has been using the photo as his Weibo background since the drama aired in 2015. It has been about 10 years and Bo Gum already starred in various dramas together with other female leads; thus, people wonder why he still keeps the image instead of changing it regularly.

Of course, Hyeri - Park Bo Gum shippers immediately claimed that the only reason must be because the actor may have been harboring a secret crush for Hyeri all this time.

Fans also recalled that even before Lee Hyeri and Ryu Jun Yeol started dating, the two were the original OTP (One True Pair) and they were even embroiled in a dating rumor when Bo Gum revealed his ideal type in 2016.

At the time, Bo Gum confessed that he liked a girl with short hair and deep eyes, someone who could dance, had a good heart, and was polite. The only person who came to netizens' minds during that time was Girl's Day Hyeri.

Amid these discussions, fans of the actor find the claims ridiculous, stating that it is likely that Park Bo Gum forgot about his Weibo account.

They also think that it must be because he can't remember his password, or he just forgot how to change the background.

After all, Park Bo Gum isn't really a fan of SNS, and he's mostly using his social media accounts to update fans about his official schedules and brand deals, and rarely about his daily life.
