In an online community, Oh My Girl Mimi's recent status sparked a heated discussion about why there are fans who were "giving up" on her.

On March 22, the female idol became a hot topic on the web forum, Nate Pann, but for a negative reason.

In an article that amassed 93k views, fans and netters were criticizing the Oh My Girl member's current styling and decisions, which led some MIRACLEs to leave the fandom.

Oh My Girl Mimi Stuns With Curly Hair

In particular, the mixed reactions from fans stemmed from Mimi's recent post on the same day, where she flaunted her curly hair transformation.

On Instagram, the female star uploaded a dance cover challenge of Pharrell Williams feat. Miley Cyrus's "Doctor (Work It Out)."

Aside from her impressive dance line, she particularly drew attention for her unique styling, wearing a fancy ensemble of black crop top and shorts trimmed with sequins, which reminded fans of the 90s.

She completed the retro transformation by showcasing her perm hair and makeup which is very far from the idol "aegyo-sal" styling.

The "Secret Garden" singer also posted her photos posing with her recent styling.

Oh My Girl Mimi Makes Fans Gave Up on Her Following Recent Styling

After upload, Mimi gained divided opinions from MIRACLEs (fandom), K-netz especially criticizing her decision to choose a style close to American styling.

Fans felt that Mimi suits the Korean style better and by choosing the other one, she is making herself stand out among Oh My Girl in a negative way.

Some MIRACLEs were also frustrated that Mimi was doing everything on her own accord, not minding how Oh My Girl would be affected by her actions and decisions.

As a result, some fans claimed that they were giving up on her and would only support the other members moving forward.
