TWICE & IU Give K-pop Stans 'Hard Time' For Holding Events on Same Date, Netizens Convey Hilarious Remarks On Unexpected 'Dilemma'

On March 22, it was announced that TWICE would be having a fanmeeting in collaboration with popular local food brand Oishi on June 1.

The fan meeting titled "TWICE x Oishi Snacktacular Fan Meet," will be held at the SM Mall Of Asia Arena, in Manila, Philippines. ONCEs were hyped by the surprise announcement, as many are anticipating creating more precious memories with the girl group.

While many dedicated ONCEs were undeniably excited about the event, the same thing couldn't be said for the ones who are multi-stans (fans of other artists).

Netizens hilariously voiced out their frustration over the fact that June 1 was also the same date for top soloist IU's highly anticipated "H.E.R." world tour in Bulacan, Philippines.

Earlier on January 17, the singer announced the dates for her shows, which will span across Asia and the United States. 

This sparked a myriad of shocking but relentlessly funny reactions from ONCEs, Uaenas, and fans of both artists. On social media platform X (Twitter), fans didn't waste a single second in drawing out comical content due to the unforeseen "crisis" of choosing between the two acts.

Internet users even joked how the two fandoms were passing each other off, for one to be able to efficiently secure tickets in their preferred events.

Meanwhile, some joked that TWICE's "fake maknae" Nayeon, who is popularly known for being a huge Uaena, would be absent from the group's upcoming fanmeeting and would rather go on to attend IU's concert instead.
