According to K-media, TWICE's leader Jihyo has been dating athlete Yun Sung Bin since 2023, and they became a couple for this reason.

On March 25, the whole entertainment scene was shocked by the news that the "Nation's Girl Group" member, Jihyo, is in a romantic relationship with the gold medalist athlete, Yun Sung Bin.

As of writing, JYP Entertainment and Yun's side are yet to release their statements.

How Did TWICE Jihyo Meet Yun Sung Bin? Rumored Couple's Love Story, According to Insiders

The dating speculation sparked when the media outlet SWAY initially claimed that the K-pop idol was seeing the ex-skeleton athlete-turned-broadcaster Yun.

In the report, it was rumored that the two have been in a relationship for a year now after they started dating in 2023. Yun Sung Bin was born in 1994 and is three years older than Jihyo, born in 1997.

Based on insiders, their love story started due to their shared interest in exercising, which people referred to as being "gym buddies."

They first met through a common acquaintance and eventually, they developed romantic feelings for each other.

"According to a witness's testimony, Yun Sung Bin was frequently seen going in and coming out of Jihyo’s house (and vice versa). They seemed to be a natural couple which includes showing natural skinship.”

Reports added that the couple only lived 5 minutes away by car and aside from doing sports, they also enjoyed dates by going to each other's houses.

Another common field of the couple is that they are both "Rainbow Club" members on MBC's entertainment show, "I Live Alone."

In relation to this, Jihyo's agency, JYP Entertainment, and Yun Sung Bin's agency, All That Sports have not yet announced an official position since the morning of the 25th. Both sides are expected to reveal their positions later after confirming the facts.

Jihyo made her debut with TWICE as its main vocalist and leader in 2015. In 2023, she became a soloist by releasing her first solo album, "ZONE."

Earlier in February, Jihyo also made a comeback as TWICE with its mini-album, "With YOU-th," in commemoration of the group's 10th debut anniversary.

Upon its release, it topped the US Billboard main chart, "Billboard 200." In July, the team is set to become the first K-pop girl group to perform at Nissan Stadium in Kanagawa, Japan.

On the other side, Yun Sung Bin is a former professional athlete who is currently appearing on television as a fitness broadcaster such as on "Golf King" and "Physical 100."

Prior to his retirement, he was well-known for being a skeleton racer who won the first Asian men's skeleton gold medal at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. He also rose to fame for his moniker "Iron Man" due to his helmet similar to the Marvel comic hero, not to mention his exceptional agility and athleticism.
