Sojang Requests To Delete Personal Information Online After Figure Suffers Privacy Violation, Emotional Distress
On April 3, Korean news outlets reported that infamous YouTuber Sojang had complained of emotional distress after experiencing a privacy leak.
"The YouTube channel TakDulSooYongSo (Sojang), which has been accused of indiscriminately spreading false rumors about several female celebrities including IVE Jang Wonyoung and aespa Karina, has complained of emotional distress after having its information blinded."
It continued, "The organization's legal representative, Law Firm Daehan, has blinded its NamuWiki page with information related to the controversy."
According to sources, Sojang's representative requested a temporary solution for the privacy concerns by deleting the documents posted on the NamuWiki site.
"As a representative of Sojang's operator, we would like to request temporary measures and the deletion of documents posted on the (NamuWiki) site," the firm shared. "The page contains a lot of details about Sojang's identity, which caused the operator to suffer extreme leakage of personal information and privacy breaches."
Furthermore, it revealed that Law Firm Daehan has taken appropriate measures to remove the post and prevent similar incidents from happening again. It also disclosed that the NamuWiki page sharing Sojang's personal information is currently unavailable.
Here's how netizens reacted to the incident:
- "This is just karma."
- "What a fuss. She made rumors to the point of wanting to kill those celebrities so she deserves to be tormented too."
- "She's fine when she's tormenting others but she's only getting in her right mind now that she's being tormented?"
- "So now that it's getting back to her, she's having a hard time."
- "I'm supposed to feel sorry for that b**ch? I don't!"
- "This is how most haters think, jobless behavior and thinks they'll never face consequences lol. A grown a** woman spreading rumors about teenagers."
- "Oh no, not the consequences of your actions."
- "The fact this loser hag has been cyberbullying Wonyoung when she was 14 years old and making fake rumors during IZ*ONE to IVE."
