TWICE Chaeyoung is reportedly dating RnB singer Zion.T, who's ten years her senior.

How did the two meet?

K-Media Reveals How TWICE Chaeyoung, Zion.T Met + Labels' Statements

On April 4, the K-media outlet SWAY reported that "Chaeyoung and Zion.T have been dating for six months."

Shortly after, their labels briefly commented on the rumor.

According to the report, prior to becoming a couple, the two started as friends, and their friendship blossomed into romance. They are often spotted dating in public places, as if not hiding their relationship.

"The two met through Chaeyoung’s acquaintances, and as their feelings beyond colleagues blossomed, their relationship developed into a romantic relationship. They often went on dates in Hannam-dong and Yeonhui-dong and did not try to hide their love.”

Chaeyoung (born in 1999) debuted as a member of TWICE in 2015. The group is loved for their numerous hit songs like "Cheer Up," "TT," "Fancy," "Likey," and "What Is Love?"

Zion.T, born in 1989, debuted in 2011. He gained popularity for his tracks "No Make Up," "Eat," and more.

As to how they decided to start dating, the media also hinted at the artists' respective ideal types.

“Zion.T perfectly matches Chaeyoung’s ideal type. She likes men with artistry, and she fell in love with Zion.T’s free-spirited and musician-like appearance.”

Following the news Zion.T's label, THEBLACKLABEL briefly told Sports Kyunghyang:

"We are sorting our position, so please wait a little while."

But on the morning of April 5, TWICE Chaeyoung's agency, JYP Entertainment, told MK Sports:

"The two are meeting with good feelings. They are supporting each other." 

Meanwhile, this is not the first time that a TWICE member was embroiled in dating news this 2024.

On March 25, leader Jihyo was also said to be in a 1-year relationship with former national skeleton athlete Yun Sung Bin.

At the time, both sides only stated, “It is difficult to confirm because it is a private matter.”

Fans Are Divided on TWICE Chaeyoung, Zion.T's Relationship 

When the news spread in the K-pop community, ONCEs (TWICE fandom) expreased mixed reactions to the new couple. Many sent Chaeyoung congratulatory messages, saying they support her as long as she's happy.

However, some criticized the "Feel Special" singer and mocked Zion.T's looks.
