On April 14, 2024, several community forums, including FM Korean, were abuzz after a screenshot of a conversation between Songsun and a fan was shared online.

The fan asked Songsun, "I'm going to buy a lottery ticket; can you pick lottery numbers for me?" and Song Sun readily agreed.

The numbers Songsun picked were 36, 23, 7, 12, 32, 6, and 28.

Many were amused by the idol's response, as you only need to pick six numbers in the lotto, but she provided seven. People joked that the idol must have never tried filling out a lottery ticket before.

However, in the lottery draw held on April 13, the result of the 1115th draw was. Many were shocked that except for the number 34 in the first prize-winning numbers, all of the numbers Songsun guessed were correct. In fact, adding 6 and 28, the last two numbers Songsun chose, would give 34.

It was revealed that Songsun guessed five numbers correctly, and the last two numbers provided the sum of the missing number. Many theorized that this must have been the reason the idol gave seven numbers.

The fan purchased two lotto tickets with those numbers. She then revealed she won third place in the lottery thanks to Songsun's numbers. The prize money was over 2.9 million Korean won.

The fan, who missed the first prize of 2.7 billion won by a hair because they didn't consider the two numbers in the back, revealed they felt a slight twinge of regret. Still, thanks to Songsun's "Midas' Touch," the fan was able to take home a large sum of money.
