Six K-pop girl groups were included in Teen Vogue's "21 Best Girl Groups of All Time" list.

On May 20, 2024, Teen Vogue unveiled their list of "21 Best Girl Groups of All Time." Selecting girl groups across different generations, Teen Vogue named girl groups that inspired iconic styles and classic tracks that transcend barriers.

The list was global and included several girl groups. Here are the six that were mentioned:

1. Wonder Girls

Teen Vogue stated that Wonder Girls was one of K-pop's first global trailblazers.

During the height of their career, the girl group was opening for the Jonas Brothers on tour. They were the first Korean group to enter the Billboard Hot 100, doing so in 2009 with the song "Nobody."

2. TWICE

The second K-pop girl group mentioned was TWICE, noting how they stole hearts from the moment they debuted in 2015.

Throughout the years, TWICE grew from their cutesy concept, and now slay with a more elegant, sophisticated aura. Despite that, they never lost the charm that hooked people in the first place.

3. 2NE1

2NE1 is one of K-pop's most confident girl groups, proclaiming they are the best in their song, "I AM THE BEST."

Throughout their active years, they broke records, with 2NE1 being the first K-pop girl group to embark n a world tour. Though they technically disbanded in 2016, the girls reunited in 2022 for a surprise Coachella performance.

4. BLACKPINK

Considered the epitome of girl crush, BLACKPINK was also included in their list thanks to their fierce and confident discography that raised K-pop to new heights.

Their music video for "DDU-DU DD-DU" has over two billion views, making it the most-viewed K-pop music video. Additionally, the members are all successful in their own rights with their ventures into fashion and music.

5. Red Velvet

The one thing that makes Red Velvet stand out is their unique concept of having "red" side and "velvet" side music; so whether you like bubblegum pop or R&B, you'll find something you like with Red Velvet.

Ever since their debut in 2014, the SM Entertainment girl group has charmed K-pop fans with their imaginative releases.

6. Girls' Generation

The final K-pop girl group included in Teen Vogue's list is none other than THE Nation's Girl Group, Girls' Generation!

Rising to fame in 2009, Girls' Generation flaunts a robust discography. They went on a hiatus in 2017 but reunited in 2022 to celebrate their fifteenth anniversary.
